Created with hosting in mind, this expansive kitchen centers on connection—between rooms, between guests and between indoor and outdoor living spaces. Builder Evan Kinsley, founder and president of of Spiegel Kinsley Construction, says the home was designed “with the idea of hosting parties and gatherings,” a goal reflected in the nine-foot island, adjoining banquet-style serving area and direct access to the outdoor kitchen and dining patio. Rich butterscotch-toned cabinetry, dark island accents and hickory flooring keep the open-concept space feeling welcoming rather than stark. Floating shelves and an integrated hood introduce contemporary functionality, while sweeping views of the Jemez Mountains shape the kitchen designed as much for gathering as for cooking.
